MANCHESTER, England -- Juan Mata has arrived at Manchester Uniteds training complex by helicopter to undergo a medical examination before sealing his club-record move to the Premier League champions from Chelsea. The Spain midfielder was greeted by United manager David Moyes after landing at the training ground, a day after the club confirmed it has reached an agreement with Chelsea. Although financial details werent disclosed, United made a bid of 37 million pounds ($61 million) this week. Its previous record transfer was Dimitar Berbatov, who joined for 30.7 million pounds from Tottenham in 2008. United is banking on the arrival of Mata, who fell out of favour at Chelsea this season, to spark an upturn in fortunes with the team struggling to qualify for next seasons Champions League. Aaron Jones Jersey .A. Happ? Happs seven wins are second on the staff to Mark Buehrles 10. Win-loss record is an antiquated stat, sure, but win total is generally an indication of a pitchers ability to work deep into games, enough to be personally affected by the result. Don Hutson Jersey . -- Former NHL star Jeremy Roenick shot a second-round 69 to take the lead after 36 holes and former LPGA great Annika Sorenstam and Chad Pfeifer, who lost his left leg above the knee serving in Iraq, are among several players in contention in the American Century Championship tournament on Saturday.HONG KONG -- John Moonlight scored a pair of tries as Canada defeated Portugal 35-7 Friday in its opening match at the Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament. The Canadian men improved their career record against Portugal to 15-9-0. Canada, which is currently ninth in the series standings, is coming off three impressive performances in the U.S., New Zealand and Japan, where it qualified for the quarter-finals of the elite Cup competition each time. Nanyak Dala, Conor Trainor and Sean White also scored tries Friday for Canada, which will face No. 8 Argentina and No. 4 England on Saturday. Captain Nathan Hirayama, who missed the final day of action in Tokyo last time out due to injury, converted all five Canadian tries. Pedro Bettencourt had the lone try for No. 14 Portugal. Moonlight opened the scoring with a try just 39 seconds into the match. Hirayama then converted tries from Dala and Trainor to put Canada up 21-0 by the 7:20 mark of the first half. Bettencourt got Portugal on the board late, cutting Canadas lead to 21-7 at the break. Moonlight struck quickly to open the second half with a try 50 seconds in. That was all the scoring until Whites try in extra time. In other games, Fiji opened its title defence by blowing away Wales 42-7. In a pool matchup of last years finalists, Fiji ran in six tries to one to put a smile on the face of coach Ben Ryan. "Lets not get carried away. We havent qualified for anything as yet," Ryann said.dddddddddddd "We have a far way to go before we can think of defending our title." Fiji, the most successful side at the mecca of sevens rugby, is bidding for a third successive title to go along with hat tricks in 1990-92 and 1997-99. England was the last team to win three in a row, 10 years ago. The Pacific Islanders, coming off victory in Tokyo last weekend, led the charge of all the big guns on the opening night. World series leader South Africa defeated France 31-7, and New Zealand brushed aside Scotland 33-0. Of the top four seeds, England had the hardest time having to ward off a feisty challenge from Argentina, 19-12. In qualifying for core team status in next seasons series, Japan was the most impressive in romps over Uruguay and Trinidad and Tobago, thanks to wingers Yoshikazu Fujita and Kenki Fukuoka, who were released by 15s coach Eddie Jones. Host Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Italy and Russia also emerged unbeaten in the 12-team second-tier competition. The winner of that tournament will join the core teams in the first-tier series next year. Also Friday, the Canadian women defeated France 24-0 to win their second consecutive Hong Kong Invitational Sevens title. The event was a tuneup for the Womens Sevens World Series tournament next week in Guangzhou, China. Canada is currently third in the womens series with 48 points. Australia and New Zealand each have 56. With files from The Associated Press ' ' '

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Clippers are two games away from wrapping up another fantastic regular season and will try to set a franchise record for wins when they conclude a five-game homestand Tuesday versus the Denver Nuggets. You can catch all of the action live on TSN2 at 10:30pm et/7:30pm pt. The Clippers are one victory away from setting a franchise record, which was tied with a 56th triumph in Saturdays 117-101 decision over the Sacramento Kings. The 2012-13 team finished the season 56-26, but then lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Memphis Grizzlies. Los Angeles was the fourth seed last season and is trying to capture the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference. L.A. is locked in at No. 3 and needs to win its last two games and have Oklahoma City lose at home to Detroit on Wednesday. The Pacific-champion Clippers and Thunder split four meetings this season. The Clippers, who will visit the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday, improved to 2-2 on the homestand with a convincing victory over the Kings at Staples Center. Blake Griffin scored 27 points and handed out nine assists, while DeAndre Jordan had 21 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks. Chris Paul posted a near triple-double with 17 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds for the Clippers, winners in 19 of the last 23 games and owners of a 33-7 home record. Only Indiana (35-6) has a better record at home. "Were still playing for something," Paul said on the teams website. "We can keep building confidence on defense. Were at our best when were running and getting stops." The Clippers are the best scoring team in the NBA at 107.9 ppg. They have reached 100 or more points in each of the last eight games and are 35-12 since January 1. Denver is playing out the string and will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2002-03. It has been playing better down the stretch with three straight wins and four in the past six games. Injuries and lack of chemistry under head coach Brian Shaw have hampered the Nuggets and theyll try to end the season on a high note. The Nuggets are coming off Saturdays 101-94 win versus the Utah Jazz, as Kenneth Faried posted 24 points with a career-high 21 rebounds. Faried is posting an average of 19.9 points and 11.0 rebounds since March 1. Randy Foye netted a team-high 26 points and Evan Fournier came off the bench and supplied 23 for Denver, which scored 67 points in the second half after failing to record at least 20 points in each of the first two periods. "The effort of the guys competing and playing hard I thought everyone contributed in their own special way," Shaw said. "The guys really have something going and Im proud of them the way they are finishing up the season." Shaws words were a far cry from how he felt during the season when he questioned the teams pride and effort. The Nuggets are 14-26 on the road and ended a six-game slide as the visitor with a win at Golden State on April 10. In other team news, guard Randy Foye has made 186 3-pointers this season -- good enough for second in team lore behind Dale Ellis 192 baskets from downtown (1996-97). Denver guard Ty Lawson (knee) is expected to miss Tuesdays game against the Clippers and hasnt played since April 4 at Memphis (4 games). Los Angeles has lost two of three games to Denver this season and is 1-4 in the previous five meetings between the teams. The Nuggets, though, have dropped three in a row and six of seven games at the Clippers. Kevin Ross Jersey . Onyshko, from Minnedosa, Man., will compete in artistic gymnastics while Hanet, from Kelowna, B.C., will compete in lawn bowling as a para-athlete. "It is exciting that our Canadian athletes are starting to arrive at the Games Village," said Chantal Petitclerc, Canadas Chef de Mission. Darron Lee Jersey . The 22-year-old slugger, who is no stranger to adversity, made up for it at the end. http://www.customchiefsjersey.com/custom...-646n.html . -- The Washington Redskins coaching staff distanced itself from other coaches Thursday by siding with ownership -- and not the players -- in the NFLs labour dispute. Ed Budde Jersey . Both sides came closest to scoring in the first half, when Roma had a goal from Mattia Destro waved off for offside and Inters Rodrigo Palacio headed high. "A draw was a fair result. Neither squad had many chances," Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic said. Morris Claiborne Jersey . The mixed zone is not a place to make friends.ORLANDO, Fla. -- During the Magics recent struggles one of the few constants has been the offence provided by Arron Afflalo. The veteran provided another reminder of why hes so indispensable for a young team trying to find itself. Afflalo scored 23 points to lead five Orlando players in double-figures and the Magic snapped a three-game losing streak with a 109-92 win over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. Orlando led the Pistons by as many as 22 points and cruised in the fourth quarter. Afflalo said the victory was one of the most complete efforts the Magic have posted in recent memory. "Its good to get a win at home for once," said Afflalo, who has scored at least 20 points in five straight outings. "I dont think weve won here this month. It was pretty impressive defensively. I thought the bigs did a great job trying to fight their bigs all night rebounding. I thought we shared the ball throughout the game, made the right play. "When we play like that I think were pretty good." The Magics leading scorer this season, Afflalo played eight minutes of the third quarter after lightly turning his left ankle. But after coming out of the game briefly, he was able to finish the period -- scoring six points -- before resting in the fourth. "The ankle, its one of those things where if you can fight through it, you go ahead and play," he said. The victory halted a five-game home losing streak for the Magic, who hadnt won at the Amway Center since the day before Thanksgiving. Nik Vucevic added 20 points and 11 rebounds, and rookie Victor Oladipo finished with 16 points and a career-high 11 assists. Magic coach Jacque Vaughn thought Fridays effort was sparked by what he called a surprisingly "intense" practice for this time of year. "That has to be our signature -- we have to come to work," he said. "I always tell them I dont know what results thats going to lead to wins and losses-wise, but you can look yourself in the mirror and appreciate what you do for a living, and your teammates appreciate you when you come to work." Brandon Jennings had 21 points and Will Bynum added 18 foor the Pistons, who had a streak of three consecutive road victories ended.dddddddddddd "From the start of the game, we just couldnt get anything going. We got a couple stops in the third quarter, but we couldnt score, and it just kept going downhill from there," Pistons coach Maurice Cheeks said. "We couldnt get anything going offensively, they pushed the ball down our throat defensively, and then we didnt make any shots." The Pistons, who claimed eight of their 14 wins on the road, never found a flow on offence. They shot 41 per cent for the game, and were outscored in the paint 58-48. "We had no sense of urgency and we didnt muster energy at all tonight," Jennings said. "Its got to be a collective unit to try to get it back together, but we didnt have it tonight." In some of their recent losses Orlando had started fast, only to fall apart late in the games. The Magic jumped out to another early lead, but this time were able to sustain it with a variety of scoring bursts that kept the Pistons playing catch up for most of the night. Orlando hovered over 50 per cent shooting throughout and carried a 19-point lead into the fourth quarter. The Magic carved out their early advantage shooting 56 per cent in the opening 24 minutes to take a 55-48 lead into halftime. Glen Davis had eight points in less than five minutes and then yielded to Afflalo, who finished the half with 12 points. Oladipo and Tobias Harris each added 10 points. Afflalo said theres no secret to what it will take for the Magic to have another "good night" like Friday. "Just get after it, man. Theres no mystery," he said. "We know what we need to do -- same focus, same effort. It starts with our preparation in shootaround, our intensity, attention to detail. And keeping our foot on the gas pedal." NOTES: The Magic improved to 5-6 when they score 100 or more points. ... Pistons G Chauncey Billups opted to continue his recent program of resting his tendinitis-affected knee on the first game of back-to-backs. Cheeks said Billups is expected to play when Detroit visits Washington on Saturday. ' ' '

OSHAWA, Ont. - Barclay Goodrow scored three goals and assisted on another to lift the North Bay Battalion over the Oshawa Generals 5-2 in Ontario Hockey League playoff action Sunday. Brenden Miller had a goal and two assists, and Nick Paul also scored for the Battalion, who lead Eastern Conference final 2-0. Dylan Smoskowitz scored a power-play goal for the Generals, and Stephen Desrocher had a goal and an assist. North Bay goaltender Jake Smith made 21 saves for the win. Oshawas Daniel Altshuller stopped 24 shots in the losing effort. Darnell Savage Jr. Super Bowl Jersey . Ferrer, the two-time defending champion in Buenos Aires, is aiming to win his 21st ATP tournament. Ferrer will next face fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro, the fourth seed, who defeated Jeremy Chardy of France 7-6 (7), 6-3 in another quarterfinal match. Josh Jackson Super Bowl Jersey . "If we only consider this season," Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini said, "there is just one club in Manchester -- and its ours. https://www.packersrookiestore.com/Packe...rk-Jersey/ . -- Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew practiced in a limited capacity Friday, a positive sign he might be able to play against the Tennessee Titans. Billy Turner Super Bowl Jersey . Paul George and Darren Collison each scored 17 points and Roy Hibbert added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Pacers (9-3), who won their third straight. Oren Burks Super Bowl Jersey . Joakim Nordstrom and Garret Ross also scored for Chicago and Corey Crawford made 30 saves. Tomas Tatar scored twice for Red Wings (2-3-0), Jonathan Ericsson added a goal and Gustav Nyquist had three assists.PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Forget about the surprisingly small number in the win column. Last time Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor checked, Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints were still dangerous.Besides, even at 4-7 the Saints are in first place in the NFC South. No, seriously. Its a distinction the Steelers (7-4) cant boast. Even after winning four of five, Pittsburgh heads to the final weekend in November tied for last in the AFC North. So forgive Taylor if he talks about the Saints as if theyre a potential playoff team.Four wins aint got nothing to do with No. 2 offence in the league, No. 3 passing, Taylor said. They can say what they want to say, theyre still the top offence in this league. And as ugly as it has looked at times, Saints coach Sean Payton isnt letting his frustration bubble over. Since the NFL expanded to a 12-team post-season format in 1990, 17 teams who were under .500 after 11 games made the playoffs, with seven of them winning at least once in January before bowing out.New Orleans is convinced it can get there even if whatever wiggle room the Saints have could disappear if they dont get it together soon.I think theyre grown men and theyre smart enough to understand whats at stake, coach Sean Payton said. But make no mistake about it, weve got to play better football.Which is something the Steelers have been doing for more than a month, even if they havent made any inroads on first-place Cincinnati. It will likely take at least 10 wins and probably 11 to emerge from the crowded AFC North with a playoff spot. Pittsburgh figures it has already used up its allotment of losses to teams with dreadful records after falling to Tampa Bay and the New York Jets. The difference between those two teams and the Saints is obvious. Neither of those two has Brees. He dont do nothing wrong, you know, Taylor said of Brees. Hes the Peyton Manning, Tom Brady. Hes that calibre.Of course, Taylor includes Pittsburghs Ben Roethlisberger into that group, too. The 11-year veteran is in the midst of the finest statistical season of his career. It wont matter much, though, if the Steelers fail to make it to January.Weve got to put together a stretch of football like we never played before, Roethlisberger saidd.ddddddddddddSome things to look for as New Orleans searches for respect and the Steelers try to build momentum:HOMECOMING I: Pittsburgh wide receiver Lance Moore spent nine seasons in New Orleans and his 346 grabs with the Saints rank fifth in franchise history. Hes still waiting for his role to be defined with the Steelers. This week that role included giving insight on how Brees works.I have no problem sharing that information if I think it will help us win, Moore said.HOMECOMING II: New Orleans cornerback Keenan Lewis played four years with the Steelers before the Saints lured him home in 2013. Lewis is now one of the most consistent players on an inconsistent defence and will find himself matched up with good friend Antonio Brown, who happens to lead the NFL in receptions.NEW FACES: Pittsburghs bye week wasnt completely drama free. The Steelers cut running back LeGarrette Blount one day after a 27-24 Monday night win over Tennessee when Blount headed to the locker room before the final gun as a small protest for his lack of carries. Blounts abrupt departure led the Steelers to promote undrafted rookie Josh Harris to the active squad. Harris now finds himself as the primary backup to workhorse LeVeon Bell.FEELING GOOD: The Steelers are 6-1 following bye weeks under coach Mike Tomlin and are getting healthy at the right time. Taylor will likely play after missing two months with a broken right forearm. Safety Troy Polamalus sprained knee is also good to go.Seeing young guys come up, make plays, do what they need to do is exciting, Taylor said. For me to get out there with them, I feel good.ROAD BLUES: The Saints are just 1-4 away from the Superdome this season and will likely see rain and blustery conditions at Heinz Field. Its not exactly ideal for an offence predicated on timing and precision. There is always a wind there that you have to be mindful of, Payton said. You pay to extra attention to the footing, what type of cleats youre wearing, and youll make sure you get acclimated pregame. Make sure you have the right shoes on, thats important.____AP Sports Writer Brett Martel in New Orleans contributed to this report.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP_NFL ' ' '

NEW YORK – On this day, at least, it was the King and not the Kings standing at the very top of the castle. Henrik Lundqvist did all he could to keep the Cup from seeing the light of day on Wednesday night, stopping nearly every piece of rubber flung his way in a do-or-die tilt for the Rangers at MSG. Vowing to raise the level of his performance just a day earlier, Lundqvist did that and more, turning aside 40 of 41 shots in a 2-1 Game 4 win. “It was pretty self-explanatory out there,” said Dan Girardi. “He was the King tonight for us, making huge saves when he had to.” Girardis unfortunate broken stick catapulted the Kings to their only goal on Lundqvist, a breakaway marker from Dustin Brown midway through the middle period. It was from that point on that the 32-year-old simply took over, preserving the Rangers one-goal lead amidst an avalanche of incredible pressure from an L.A. squad intent on capturing the Cup for the second time in three years. New York was outshot 15-1 in the final period and an unimaginable 26-3 over the final 31-plus minutes of regulation, completely dominated by the Cup-hungry Kings. Lundqvist turned every shot aside though, rising to every challenge his rivals could muster. “Goaltender was real good,” said head coach Alain Vigneault with a smile, asked how the Rangers managed to preserve a 2-0 lead after failing to do so in Games 1 and 2. “He had to make some huge saves in the second and the third. He got and we got a few bounces. You need those. Maybe the luck is changing a little bit.” Believing the breaks had been against them in the opening three games, the Rangers saw that luck turn in their favour in remarkable fashion on this night. On not one, but two occasions did a puck sneak through the pads of Lundqvist and land squarely on the goal-line, kept at bay by morsels of snow before a Ranger could calmly swat it away – first Anton Stralman midway through the first frame and later Derek Stepan in the dying moments of regulation. “Dont fool yourself either,” said Stepan. “Hank stood on his head. He made some big saves at big times for us. Those are the big plays we need at certain moments to keep the momentum or shift the momentum. Hank stood tall and hes a big part of why were going back to L.A.” Lundqvist and the Rangers are now 11-2 in their last 13 games when facing elimination, the King entering the night with a .957 save percentage in such situations. “When everything is on the line, you just have to challenge yourself the right way, I guess, as a team and personally,” said Lundqvist, who allowed 11 goals in the first three games against the Kings. “You have to go out there and leave everything out there and be extremely focused. One mistake and the season is over. Youre definitely aware of that. When you go out to these types of games where you know everything can be over after this period or after the next two periods.” Despite relentless waves of pressure over the final period and a half the Kings believed they could do more to disrupt the Rangers Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender. “I think we can do a better job getting to him,” said Anze Kopitar, one of only three Kings without a shot on goal. “I think [there were] a couple of times where we didnt make it tough on him. The pucks were sitting there. But the pucks hes gonna see, hes gonna stop. Thats just how it is.” Despite owning the back half of Wednesdays game, L.A. is now forced to make the long flight back west in hopes of procuring the Cup on home ice. It was two years earlier in the 2012 Final that they raced out to a 3-0 series lead only to drop Games 4 and 5 to the Devils before finally emerging with the first Cup in franchise history at Staples Center in Game 6. “Were going back home, thats where we won it last time, hopefully we can do the same thing again,” said Drew Doughty. The Rangers, meanwhile, were searching for just one win, viewing Game 4 as a best-of-one they had no choice but to capture. Rallying from a 3-1 deficit in the second round against the Penguins, their focus now shifts to bringing the series back to the Garden for Game 6 and hopefully beyond. “Well, we went into this game with the approach that we wanted to win at home in front of our fans,” said Lundqvist. “That was our approach. We got that accomplished. Now were looking for the next game.” Kendrick Bourne Super Bowl Jersey . Then he got back at the team that released him five days before the start of last season, hitting a tiebreaking double in the ninth inning of the first game at Fenway Park since Boston won the World Series last October. Ronnie Lott Super Bowl Jersey . Cilic cruised to victory, beating the seventh-seeded Seppi 6-1, 6-3 in just 72 minutes. He faced only one break point, winning 24 out of 29 points played on the first serve. http://www.49ersofficialfanshop.com/kwon...ersey.html .com) - The Milwaukee Bucks will try to get another win on this homestand Thursday night when they welcome the Utah Jazz to the Bradley Center. Of most interest and significance for fans in Ottawa this off-season is who the Redblacks will settle on as franchise quarterback. There is considerable interest from fans around the league as well, with all eight teams vulnerable to poaching. Perhaps his best option at landing his first choice at QB, the expansion draft also poses problems for general manager Marcel Desjardins. With pending free agents neednt be protected, the talent pool of quarterbacks available to the Redblacks for selection – and under contract – is likely small. But add in the pending free agents and the options become a lot more attractive. The Redblacks have said theyre unlikely to select many free agents – if any at all – in the expansion draft, fearing theyll simply leave two months later when the player market opens. But taking a quarterback, if Desjardins truly deems him the guy to lead his team for the next 10 years or so, could be worth the risk. Take Zach Collaros for example. The pending free agent will almost certainly be available in the expansion draft as the Toronto Argonauts will surely protect Ricky Ray. Filling in for an injured Ray this season, Collaros proved hes deserving of a starters role somewhere in the league. With that unable to happen in Toronto, a not-yet-registered re-signing with the Argos can be all but ruled out. That means Collaros is leaving as a free agent. Selecting him in the expansion draft doesnt guarantee he becomes a Redblack, but it gives Desjardins a two-month exclusive negotiating window with the QB. Maybe Collaros has his heart set on playing in a specific city, but if hes open to playing anywhere, it could be worth it for Ottawa to get a head start on making their pitch. The Rouge asks: Should the Redblacks select pending free agents in the expansion draft? As always, its Your! Call. Arsenal reached the FA Cup final by ending second-tier Wigans impressive title defence in a penalty shootout at Wembley Stadium, making up for the disappointment of dropping out of the Premier Leagues top four earlier Saturday. After needing an 82nd-minute goal by Per Mertesacker to force extra time at 1-1, Arsenal won the shootout 4-2 to keep alive its chances of capturing a first piece of major silverware since 2005. "We have been struggling in recent weeks but you have to deal with that," said Arsenal midfielder Kim Kallstrom, who scored the second of Arsenals four straight successful penalties. "Hopefully, its a great boost of confidence for the rest of the season." Hull plays Sheffield United in the second semifinal on Sunday. When Jordi Gomez put Wigan ahead from the penalty spot in the 63rd, it threatened to be a disastrous day for Arsenal, which was replaced in fourth spot in the league by Everton thanks to its 1-0 win at bottom-placed Sunderland. While Sunderland looks doomed -- seven points from safety with six games left -- the race to avoid the other two relegation spots heated up after huge wins for Fulham and Cardiff, who stayed in the bottom three but closed the gap to their rivals. Third-bottom Fulham beat fourth-bottom Norwich 1-0 and next-to-last Cardiff surprisingly won 1-0 at Southampton, while Aston Villa is only four points from the bottom three after losing 1-0 at Crystal Palace thanks to in-form Jason Puncheons goal. Just eight points separates the nine teams above Sunderland. Sixth-place Tottenham came from 3-0 down after 31 minutes to draw 3-3 at West Bromwich Albion thanks to Christian Eriksens injury-time equalizer, although two dropped points dents the visitors already faint hopes of Champions League football next season. Newcastles slump accelerated with a 1-0 home loss to Stoke in the days other game. It was an emotionally charged day in English football, with every league and cup match starting seven minutes later than originally scheduled to mark the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, in which 96 Liverpool fans died in a crush in the stands during an FA Cup semifinal against Nottingham Forest. That fateful match was abandoned after six minutes, and there was a minutes silence around the countrys football grounds before kickoffs on Saturday. At Wembley, 96 seats remained empty near the halfway line for the Wigan-Arsenal match, with just a Liverpool scarf draped over each of them. Wigan -- looking to become the first team in 34 years to win the FA Cup while playing in the second tier -- again rose to the big occasion, like it did in beating Manchester City in last years final and again in this seasons quarterfinals. Another shock was on when Gomez converted from the spot after Mertesacker brought down Callum McManaman. Only then did Arsenal start to look energized and the Germany defender redeemed himself by heading in the equalizer just as Arsenal fans were starting to despair. Wigan was always up against it in the shootout after Gary Caldwell and Jack Collison had the teams first two attempts saved by Lukasz Fabianski. And Mikel Arteta, Kallstrom, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla made no mistake to give Arsenal the chance to win an 11th FA Cup. Arsenals other task in the final month of the season is overhauling Everton in the league, with the Merseyside club continuing its fine run of results to climb two points above Wengers side. Evertons display at Sunderland wasnt as fulsome as in the 3-0 win over Arsenal last weekend, but the team passed up a string of good chances -- two of which fell to Steven Naismith -- before Sunderland defender Wes Brown unwittingly turned Gerard Deulofeus cross past goalkeeper Vito Mannone. Tottenham is now six points behind Everton, having played a game more, but showed great spirit in a stirring comeback at The Hawthorns, completed when Eriksen drove a rising shot into the net in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The recovery looked unlikely after goals by Matej Vydra and Chris Brunt inside four minutes and a third by Stephane Sessegnon put West Brom 3-0 ahead with barely a half hour gone. Jonas Olssons own goal reduced the deficit in the 34th and Harry Kanes 70th-minute header gave Tottenham further hope, before Eriksens late goal left the team three points ahead of Manchester United in the chase for a Europa League berth. Jim Ringo Jersey . The Los Angeles Clippers showed them just how ugly that life could be. Jared Dudley scored a season-high 21 points, Chris Paul added 16 points and 17 assists, and the Clippers jumped all over the Bulls in Roses absence for a 121-82 victory Sunday. Bryan Bulaga Jersey . At times during a solid but not spectacular season, they looked all three. Still the defending AFC champions persevered, riding their top-ranked defence and key contributions from younger players to a 12-4 record and their eighth playoff appearance since 2000, remarkable consistency in a league where change is the only constant. http://www.custompackersjersey.com/custo...1812r.html . This should be celebrated because it will not always be this way. With the amount of money given to players by their clubs these days, it is a wonder that so many of those teams allow the sport to continue to take away many of their assets so they can play for a different team in the middle of their season. FIFA said it spent nearly two years analyzing starting times for the tournament in Brazil and always took into consideration the players health. The players federation filed a lawsuit this week to change kickoff times of the 24 matches scheduled to start at 1 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), saying players would be at risk because of intense heat and humidity in some venues. It said FIFA, at least, must introduce two-minute water breaks in each half during those matches. The players federation is asking for a temporary injunction against FIFA but theres no timetable on a ruling. "FIFAs medical team is always monitoring carefully all venues during any FIFA competition to protect the players health," footballs governing body said in a statement. "Cooling breaks will be considered on a match-by-match basis for the 64 matches. Official and mandatory cooling breaks will not be pre-established. Rather, climate conditions will be evaluated prior to each match by the FIFA venue medical officer." There were similar health concerns during the 1994 World Cup in the United states, when temperatures reached the mid-30s (Celsius) in some of the games. Extreme heat is also a problem for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with FIFA considering moving the tournament to winter to avoid the hot weather in the Gulf nation. FIFA said it already made the schedule changes it felt were needed in the Brazilian cities with the highest temperatures. It will be winter in Brazil during the World Cup, but it may be hot and humid in many of the 12 host cities, especially in the northeastern and northern regions. "One coore aspect in defining the kickoff times was the very thorough analysis of the historical climate data in all venues," FIFA said.dddddddddddd "Therefore, the venues with the highest average temperatures such as Manaus, Cuiaba and Fortaleza do not have any matches with 1 p.m. kickoff times during group stage." Seven matches had their kickoff times altered by FIFA last year. The players federation, known as Fenapaf, wants the changes based on local labour regulations and a study conducted by renowned Brazilian sports doctor Turibio Leite. The study was requested by Fenapaf and FIFPro, the international players union. "We have been trying to discuss this with FIFA for nearly two years and they wont even sit down to talk to us," federation president Rinaldo Martorelli told The Associated Press in a phone interview. "The only alternative was to seek legal action. We really hope that they make the changes in kickoff times, but if that doesnt happen, they need to at least make the cooling breaks mandatory." FIFPro did meet with FIFA last year to discuss the issue, although no direct action was taken at the time. FIFA said that defining the World Cup match schedule is a "complex process" that involves "detailed assessments" from experts in several areas, with players health the "highest priority." It said other considerations include travel logistics and the global television market. FIFPro last year accused FIFA of considering "the demands of TV companies of greater importance than the health and safety of the players." FIFA officially approved referees to implement cooling breaks in 2013, though water breaks were made during the final of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, when Argentina beat Nigeria in grueling conditions at the Birds Nest. Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville has been handed a $25,000 fine by the NHL for what the league called inappropriate conduct during Game 1 of their first-round playoff series against the St. Louis Blues. But defending champion Elena Vesnina of Russia held off a strong challenge to beat Shuai Peng of China 6-3, 6-4, and there was another hard-fought victory for 2012 runner-up Angelique Kerber of Germany, who defeated Alison Riske of the United States 7-6 (6), 6-4. Former champion Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark also won, beating Australian Samantha Stosur 7-5, 6-4. Radwanska won the grass-court tournament in 2008, but she has since fallen in the first round four times and not won a match at Eastbourne since she reached the quarterfinals in 2011. Despite her early exit, Radwanska was not too concerned about her lack of match preparation for Wimbledon. In 2012 after a first-round defeat she went on to reach the Wimbledon final, and last year after an opening-round loss she reached the semifinals there. "The first match (on grass) is always tricky," she said. "Well, it was a great match before Wimbledon to get used to it ... I just hope I can do the same good results (at Wimbledon) this year." Wozniacki had to recover a break of serve at the beginning of each set to defeat Stosur but felt comfortable to be back on a surface which netted her the 2009 title at Eastbourne as well as the junior trophy at Wimbledon. Following her first round defeat at Roland Garros, Wozniacki enjoyyed a break in Miami with family and friends, including Serena Williams.dddddddddddd "That was a lot of fun," Wozniacki said. "Serena and I had a good time with some of our other friends ... I came back home and I worked hard every day four, five hours a day. My game is in good shape." Eastbourne also features No. 8 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus. A former No. 1, a left foot injury restricted her to just one match since she surrendered her Australian Open title in the quarterfinals in January. Drawn to face Italian Camila Giorgi in her opening match on Tuesday, Azarenka said, "Its not important for me whos going to be on the other side. I just want to see what I can do, and just see how to raise my level from there." Everyones mind inevitably is on Wimbledon, which begins next week, but second-seeded Petra Kvitova, who reached the Eastbourne final in 2011 before going on to claim the Wimbledon title, is determined to keep her focus on this week. "Of course, I want to play the best that I can to get used to the grass and everything before Wimbledon, but Im taking this tournament as a very big one," Kvitova said. "Its a very tough draw. Everybody wants to be successful here." In the mens event, Frenchman Jeremy Chardy beat former two-time champion Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 6-4, 6-4, sixth-seeded Gilles Simon of France defeated Australian qualifier Chris Guccione 7-6 (2), 6-4 and American Sam Querrey beat Britains Kyle Edmund 7-6 (5), 6-3. CHICAGO - Mike Scioscia could sense the opener of the Los Angeles Angels series against the Chicago White Sox would be affected by the storm in the area Monday night. "Im sure were gonna be dealing with some rain at some point," Scioscia said about two hours before the scheduled first pitch. "Whether it impacts the game, I dont know. "I dont know if you ever know in Chicago, do you?" The game was postponed because of rain and rescheduled as part of a traditional doubleheader on Tuesday starting at 4:10 p.m. Angels right-hander Garrett Richards (8-2, 2.76) and Chicagos Hector Noesi (2-4, 4.18) — the scheduled starters Monday — will pitch Game 1, with Los Angeles Jered Weaver (8-6, 3.33) and Scott Carroll (2-4, 4.76) pitching the nightcap. The Angels had been undecided for the series finale on Wednesday, but named left-hander Tyler Skaggs (4-4, 4.34) to pitch that game following the postponement. Skaggs currently is on the disabled list since June 10 with a strained right hamstring. The White Sox will start left-hander John Danks (7-6, 4.26). With the addition of Skaggs, the Angels would have six starters, but Scioscia declined to say what move would be made from there. "Skaggs on Wednesday, and well let you know the rest," he said. "Well get through tomorrow and see where we are." The White Sox thought there would be a window to play Mondays game though the storm was expected to hit the ballpark around game time. It wasnt raining at 7:10, the time of the scheduled first pitch, but the rain began a few minutes later. The game surprisingly was called after just a 20-minute delay because the forecast changed and the rain was supposed to last longer. The extra time off was probably welcome for Albert Pujols, who is dealing with a groin injury, but was in the lineup Monday at first base. "He feels good," Scioscia said of Pujols. "Its not really anything thats muscular or anything were worried about being a pull. Its really just something . the way it was described our medical staff, its more of a lymph node or just a little infection that got a little irritated. "It shouldnt be anything thats gonna impact what he needs to do." Pujols was in Monday nights starting lineup set to hit third and play first base. "Im more concentrated on helping the team right now," he said. ... RHP Fernando Salas (shoulder) threw 25 pitches during a bullpen session Sunday and could be activated as early as Wednesday. "Hes gonna throw a bullpen (Tuesday) and then be evaluated," Scioscia said. "He felt really good after his pen on Sunday." ... HOUSTON -- Will Bruin scored his ninth goal of the season and the Houston Dynamo got a late own goal in a 2-0 victory over the Philadelphia Union on Friday night. Bruin scored off Giles Barnes cross in the 51st minute to give Houston (7-12-4) the lead. Goalkeeper Andre Blake -- making his MLS debut -- guarded the near post to guard against Barnes, leaving an open net for Bruin. Philadelphias best chance of the second half came when Fred slipped a ball inside to Andrew Wenger, but his shot was saved by goalkeeper Tally Hall. Houstons ensuing counter-attack forced Blake to make two diving saves against Bruin. Omar Cummings cross deflected off Philadelphia defender Raymon Gaddis and rolled into the net in the 90th minute. Philadelphia (6-9-9) had its five game undefeated streak ended. George Kittle Jersey . WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. -- Billy Hurley III doesnt plan to lose much rest sitting on a third-round lead for the first time on the PGA Tour. The former U.S. Navy officer shot a 3-under 67 on Saturday to extend his advantage to two strokes over Angel Cabrera entering the final round of the Greenbrier Classic. "Ive been working for a long time to win on the PGA Tour," Hurley said. "I figure if I shoot the lowest score tomorrow, I cant lose." Hurley never relinquished the lead he has held since midway through the second round at Old White TPC. He birdied the par-5 12th and par-4 13th before dropping a stroke on the par-3 15th. He had a 12-under 198 total. No third-round leader has won the Greenbrier Classic, now in its fifth year. Playoffs have decided the tournament twice. Cabrera shot 64. Hes looking for his first non-major win on the PGA Tour. Kevin Chappell was third at 9 under after a 69. Steve Stricker had a 68 to top the group at 8 under. There will be more than a trophy to raise and a $1.2 million winners check available Sunday. The four best finishers not previously eligible for the British Open among the top 12 on the final leaderboard will earn spots in the July 17-20 tournament at Royal Liverpool. Hurley finished his five-year Navy service in 2009 and would still be a naval officer if golf wasnt keeping him busy. He returned to the PGA Tour this year after playing on the Web.com Tour in 2013. He said nerves wont play a part in how he gets ready for what could be a memorable Sunday. "Im going to keep doing what Im doing," he said. "I just want to put my mind in position so that I can play well. I slept fine last night. The benefit of the Navy if you learn how to sleep anywhere. I think Ill sleep fine tonight, too." Cabrera wore an Argeentine blue shirt in the third round and is riding his countrys momentum in the World Cup, including Saturdays 1-0 win over Belgium to advance to the semifinal round.dddddddddddd "I was very happy when I found out they won," Cabrera said, adding that he was equally as giddy when he started his round with four birdies on the first six holes. Old White sets up nicely for Cabreras long drives and he made four birdie putts of 19 feet or longer. "I was able to get the speed of the greens, and that was the big difference," Cabrera said. At the Wells Fargo Championship in May, Cabrera was the second-round leader but closed with a pair of 75s. Another under-par round Sunday would mark the first time that he has had four rounds in the 60s since the 2010 Deutsche Bank Championship. Chappell barely got anything going until making a 12-foot putt for birdie on the par-5 17th. "I dont think Ive had my best ball-striking day yet," he said. "Hopefully, my putter gets hot and (it) should be fun." Joining Stricker in the group at 8 under were Michael Thompson (64), Cameron Tringale (64), Will Wilcox (65), Joe Durant (66), Camilo Villegas (67) and Chris Stroud (70). Stricker, in his eighth tour event this year, will compete next week at John Deere and is leaning against going to the British Open unless he has one or more high finishes before then. The highlight of Strickers third round was a bending 42-foot putt for birdie on the first hole. He was 1 over on his round at the turn before making three birdies the rest of the day. "Anything can happen and thats the truth," Stricker said. "There are not a lot of guys in between me and the lead ... but there are a ton of guys right behind us. So anybody can come out of the pack here." ' ' '

Hutson Mason threw a career-high four touchdown passes despite not playing one snap in the fourth quarter for Georgia (7-2, 5-2 SEC), which rebounded from last weeks 38-20 loss to Florida. Mason was 13-of-16 for 174 yards, and Nick Chubb rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown in the bounce-back win. The Bulldogs had a three-touchdown lead just over 10 minutes into the game. Very pleased with what happened today, said Georgia coach Mark Richt. Im proud of our players. I thought they did a really good job. Starting the game, there was a lot of energy in going up 21-0. Patrick Towles totaled 139 yards with a touchdown pass and ran for another score for the Wildcats (5-5, 2-5), who suffered their fourth straight loss. Towles completed 16-of-31 passes with one interception and added 60 yards on the ground. The Bulldogs got off to a great start in all three phases. McKenzie began the game by sprinting 90 yards to the end zone, the Georgia defense forced a three-and-out and Chris Conley caught a 15-yard touchdown pass to cap the first drive. After another brief Kentucky possession, Chubb scored on an 18-yard run with 4:57 left in the first quarter. Very embarrassing effort by our team (and) our coaching staff, starting with myself, said Kentucky coach Mark Stoops. Not acceptable. Just very disappointed in the way we played, thhe way were playing.dddddddddddd Like I said, embarrassing is the word that comes to mind. Were a .500 football team. Weve got our two biggest rivals left, so well see if we can regroup. The Wildcats outscored the Bulldogs 24-14 in the second quarter. Braylon Heard ran for a 3-yard touchdown and Austin MacGinnis kicked a 38- yard field goal after Georgia fumbled a short kick. Stanley Williams quickly answered Masons 23-yard touchdown pass off play action to Malcolm Mitchell with a 56-yard TD run. The Bulldogs went up 35-17 when Conley hauled in a 4-yard pass from Mason on a fade route, but two defensive penalties on the next Kentucky drive led to Towles scoring on a quarterback sneak with 16 seconds remaining before halftime. However, things fell apart for Kentucky in the third quarter. Towles was picked off by Corey Moore on the first play from scrimmage. The Bulldogs capitalized on the miscue as four Chubb runs preceded Jeb Blazevichs 10-yard touchdown grab. After a three-and-out by the Wildcats, McKenzie returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown. Sony Michel scored on a 23-yard run later in the third, and Brice Ramsey threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Blazevich in the fourth. Towles connected with Javess Blue for a nine-yard touchdown with 3:22 to play. Game Notes Georgia has won five straight games against Kentucky and each of the last four meetings in Lexington ... Michel had 84 yards on 16 carries ... Williams rushed 10 times for 100 yards. ' ' '
